Encompass360™ is a research-based 360 assessment that combines quantitative measurement with qualitative insight to give leaders a complete, contextualized view of their leadership brand — as they see it, and as others experience it.
The Encompass360™ is a comprehensive, mixed-methods evaluation tool developed by Integral Advantage® to help leaders holistically assess and articulate their unique leadership brand.
Unlike assessments that rank leaders against external norms, the Encompass360™ recognizes that each leader operates within a distinct context. It provides tailored insights grounded in that context — not generic categories.
By gathering perspectives from both the leader and their chosen evaluators, the assessment offers a balanced, 360-degree analysis of how leadership brand is expressed and experienced.
The Encompass focuses on the specific dynamics of a leader's environment rather than applying universal benchmarks that may not reflect their reality.
Quantitative psychometric scoring combined with qualitative word clouds and AI-powered thematic analysis produces a richer, more actionable picture than either method alone.
No data is collected on the relationship between participants and evaluators, creating the psychological safety needed for honest, candid feedback.
There are no "good" or "bad" reports. Every result is a starting point for growth — designed to empower, not to judge.
Measures nine fundamental characteristics of leadership brand across 45 equally weighted items, combining self and evaluator perspectives into a visual radar profile.
Captures qualitative brand attributes through ten open-ended items, rendered as word clouds that reveal how the leader perceives themselves versus how others experience them.
Evaluates effectiveness through 10 explicit items (70% weight) and 16 implicit items (30% weight), anchored to a proprietary waterfall definition grounded in research.
Assesses three equally weighted components — Awareness, Communication, and Energy — each informed by six items, producing both component scores and an overall presence score.
Qualitatively integrates self-reflection and evaluator feedback into Increase, Decrease, Start, and Stop themes, enabling precise brand calibration and a clear path forward.
Our research has established nine fundamental characteristics that together define a leader's brand profile. Each characteristic is measured by five equally weighted assessment items.
Informed by the congruency between message and actions, the ability to foster confidence in followers, maximize benefit to all those involved, and sustain trusting, value-driven relationships.
Informed by the propensity to provide high performance, commitment to collective strategic performance, consistency in delivery, and the ability to address performance barriers.
Informed by the perception of leadership quality, the ability to care for others' sense of satisfaction, exemplary leadership behavior, and a sense of robust reliability.
Informed by how others experience interpersonal and professional interactions, consistency in these experiences, an affiliative overall approach, and prioritization of collective recognition over self.
Informed by the ability to reciprocate loyalty, foster functional and healthy relationships, appropriate warmth and compassion, and an overall sense of emotional safety.
Informed by the ability to provide desirable interaction, remain approachable, be a calming influence in adversity, and develop and maintain deep connections with others.
Informed by overall self-awareness, willingness to be held accountable, mindfulness in examining assumptions, the ability to own mistakes while retaining the desire to learn from them.
Informed by overall authenticity through the ability to exhibit integrity, purposeful articulation in addressing controversial issues, selfless courage in taking actions, and consistency in remaining true to self.
Informed by systems awareness through the ability to appreciate stakeholders' perspectives, redesign systems for optimal performance, hold a long-term horizon, and remain aware of the interplay of functions and processes.
The participant selects 15 evaluators — colleagues, direct reports, supervisors, and peers — who will provide anonymous 360-degree feedback through the platform.
The participant completes their self-evaluation. Evaluators complete their ratings independently, anonymously, and on their own schedule before the assessment window closes.
Upon close, our Proprietary Linguistic Qualitative Coded Analysis (PLQCA) engine analyzes all open-ended responses to surface the most salient themes and insights.
A certified Encompass360™ practitioner delivers a professional PDF report and facilitates a debrief session, translating insights into an actionable leadership development path.
Every Encompass360™ engagement — cohort course, 1:1 coaching, or self-guided — includes a private Co-Pilot: an AI-guided companion built automatically from your own report. Where most assessments end with a score, this is where the real work begins.
Your Co-Pilot reads your own Encompass360™ results — your scores, your word clouds, your evaluators' themes — and grounds every reflection in your actual data, not generic prompts.
Your Co-Pilot is yours alone by default. If you're working with a practitioner or in a cohort, you choose what — if anything — to share.
Every reflection is saved and timestamped, so you can revisit earlier answers and watch your leadership brand evolve in your own words over time.
Reflections stay bounded by Integral Advantage's research and the Inception Mindset framework — never generic AI coaching.
The Encompass360™ meets and exceeds the psychometric standards required of a leadership assessment instrument. Across all five dimensions, Cronbach's Alpha exceeds 0.87 — comfortably above the 0.70 threshold considered acceptable in applied research.
Beyond internal consistency, we examined how the dimensions relate to one another. Leadership Effectiveness, Leadership Presence, and the Leadership Brand Profile all correlate significantly with each other — every one of seven tested relationships reaches p < 0.01, with r ranging from 0.75 to 0.92. That's evidence the dimensions capture related but distinct aspects of leadership brand, not redundant measures of the same thing.
From a philosophical standpoint, the Encompass360™ aligns with a relativist ontological position — acknowledging that each leader's context is unique, and that meaningful assessment must account for that uniqueness rather than flattening it into normative categories.
Encompass360™ is delivered through certified Integral Advantage® practitioners — cohort courses, selective 1:1 coaching, and a self-guided path for individuals. Tell us a little about what you're looking for and we'll follow up within one business day.
